Amit Gupta is a distinguished educationist and committed Rotarian, known for his unwavering dedication to community service and leadership. An alumnus of the prestigious Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad, he holds a graduate degree in Science and an MBA in management.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the esteemed Sanskar Educational Group, Ghaziabad. Additionally, he is the General Secretary of Shree Bankey Bihari Dental College and Research Centre. His family has been actively engaged in the cement C&F business for over five decades.
Driven by the belief that “The purpose of human life is to serve and show compassion,” Amit Gupta joined Rotary in 2009 as a proud member of Rotary Club of Ghaziabad Central. Demonstrating remarkable leadership, he served as Club President in the year 2012-13, and since then, has been wholeheartedly devoted to the service of Rotary.
He served as Assistant Governor in 2015-16 and has chaired several district organizing committees over the years. A pillar of the district’s core team, he has played a key role in the training ecosystem, having been on the faculty of PETS and various training programs. He also served as Chair for the Rotary Club Central (RCC) online tool for seven consecutive years since 2016 and has published the District Directory six times since 2017-18.
His Rotary journey has been adorned with numerous recognitions over the years. He was declared the Elite President of the District in RY 2012-13 and received the District Eco-Friendly Rolling Trophy during his presidential tenure. In RY 2014-15, he was conferred with the prestigious Governor Ratna Award, and in RY 2016-17, he was honored as the Best Rotarian of the District. In addition, he has received multiple trophies, mementos, and accolades for his outstanding contributions and leadership within the district.
He has represented the district at prestigious platforms like the RI Institute at Kuala Lumpur, Rotary South Asia Summits in Hyderabad and Chennai, and Rotary Disha in Mumbai& Jaipur. He has also hosted a GSE Team from Germany and is a Lifetime Member of the Rotary Cancer Foundation. Together, Amit and Swati are Major Donors to The Rotary Foundation.
Outside Rotary, Amit Gupta actively participates in various social, business, and cultural organizations.
His wife, Dr. Swati Gupta, has been his constant source of strength and support. A committed Rotarian herself, she served as President of RC Ghaziabad Central in RY 2014-15, receiving the Kohinoor President Award, and served as Assistant Governor in 2020-21. Her key area of interest lies in literacy, where she has contributed immensely as DLCC over the years.
Amit and Swati are blessed with two children:
Vrinda, their elder daughter, holds a degree in Architecture followed by MBA in Marketing, along with a masters in Kathak. She pays an active role in shaping the growth of the family’s schools – contributing to its management, innovation and academic planning. Alongside this, she pursues her passion as a digital designer and marketer.
Vedant, their son, a B.Tech graduate from NIT Delhi, is a tech enthusiast, and is currently pursuing his master’s degree from the renowned Imperial College London.
Both the children are Paul Harris Fellows.
Amit and Swati remain deeply committed to serving society with compassion and purpose, continuing their Rotary journey with greater zeal in the years to come.
